Lyle and I have long joked about making a water heater into an UltiMAK product so that troops in the field can make hot coffee as they desire. The waste heat is certainly there. Watching Coffee on Modern Marvels tonight, I was educated that in the Civil War there were carbines issues that had coffee grinders built into the buttstock. I think there’s plenty of historical precedent for such a product for modern warfighters.
