Employer matching
Joe writes about donating to American Snipers as being the most direct way to spread peace to our enemies. I would be remiss if I didn’t point out that many employers (including Microsoft) will match your donations. If you’re with Microsoft, just go to the EasyMatch website and put in the amount you donated. It’s that simple.
Counter-sniping from a helicopter
Ernie Stephens posits counter-sniping from a helicopter is hard enough to not be used. His position is experiential. However, quite a few people wrote in that they employ this platform with great effect. The next set of letters was split, one for and one against. An earlier article by Capt. Ed Van Winkle was more supportive of the idea.
Supporting This American Life podcasts
This American Life has been requesting support for the podcasts. Apparently, the bandwidth bill for making streaming available is over $110,000 a year. I donated; don’t forget, WBEZ is a non-profit. This means it’s eligble for donation-matching from many employers.
