Quality work

ADCO is highly regarded in the industry for the work they do on firearms, especially for suppressors; they posted an example of the work sent to them to fix. As they said, this picture isn’t blurry; the threads are:

Remember these pictures when you send your rifle off to someone to be threaded. I’ve used ADCO and Gem-Tech; I suggest you do, as well.

Not to rub it on or anything. OK, I’m rubbing it in; It makes a lot of sense to make sure of your results before you tear into your prized widget. In this case, using a piece of 4140 steel rod stock for practice, instead of practicing on your barrel, would go a long way.

An experienced craftsman knows he’s falible. I never drilled into a nice clarinet, for example, without doing a test run or two before going into that multi thousand-dollar instrument.

In any case, the results you’re willing to accept (or unwilling) are as important as your particular skill set. In your case you refused to accept certain results, and took the necessary steps to achieve superior results. That’s key.
