Police said 16-year-old Garrett Burton was with at least one other teenage boy Saturday in the backyard of a home when someone shot him in the head just before 3 a.m. Police have no suspects.
…Another Columbus teen was killed in an egging incident in December 2006. Fourteen-year-old Danny Crawford was shot after a group of boys he was with threw an egg at a car. No one has been charged in that case.
Here’s an idea; don’t egg cars (or houses, or whatever). A brace of idiots in Columbus have paid the ultimate price for doing so; you might think, after the first incident, word would get around. The deceased, after all, were about the same age.
That said, an egg hardly counts as a threat to life and limb. If you’re the guys behind the trigger on these two events, knock it off. No jury is going to fail to convict you over this.
A small board* raised >$70,000 from the time of the Cuda nomination to the funding gate for freely given campaign funding. Since Playboy opted to take coerced, public monies, he can no longer raise funds for his election (as of 23:59 Sunday). I put in $25 for Cuda; I don’t care so much about Playboy.
* While Arfcom likes to think of itself as sizable, last time I looked it up, it wasn’t even in the top 200 web fora in terms of traffic or users. For comparison, DU was ranked ~3000, Arfcom ~16000 last month.
