Breaking thumbs with handguns

This guy uses a couple pistols to chop his thumbs off.

Well, OK, he cuts himself on the horned slide (if you dehorn a gun, a non-dehorned gun is horned, right?)
I’ve done this in the past with a glock 21 and 30, but I wrapped my hand around the slide. I never did it using a single finger on the back of the slide. This video was posted in response to some panty-twisting about 22 caliber pistols breaking thumbs; both Lyle and Joe have shot my Buckmark with full-power 22lr loads to no ill result.
