In which “fix it in post” has new meaning
A new tool for video rebasing is out; it does interpolation to smooth motion. Here’s an example video. Requires nVidia and linux, sadly; I have a mostly functional nVidia card, but I’ve switched to AMD and I’m not going back. In the vein of deshaker, it’s great to have such powerful tools available to plebeians for free.
In which my love for the American 180 is professed
I don’t remember the context, but Joe and I were discussing this and that and it came out that he was unfamiliar with (and obviously, had never shot) an American 180. Here’s a video of someone doing a 275 round mag dump, suppressed, through such a gun. I’m of the opinion that the American 180 is the finest subgun extant; the finicky magazines of old have been replaced with the higher-capacity, smooth-feeding magazines of new. Throw a can on it and you’re cooking with gas.
As a neophile, I will tend to shoot any gun at least once; this includes doing dumb things like renting them for exorbitant prices at gun ranges if it’s a gun I won’t get to shoot otherwise. Furthermore, Oregon meet and greets for The Board That Shall Not Be Named tend to bring out the title II toys, and a weekend in the Oregon hills is worth the drive, if only to see the millions of stars one cannot see when in Seattle.
