Switch begins
Plugged both the mini and my desktop into a DVI switchbox. Installing TF2 and DoD:S, then going to bed.
Ah, Boomershoot
The fireball made me tear up: a dirt clod hit me right on the nose. Video later.

Same planet, different world
Joe and I prepped 800 rounds for the rifle we use for press.
Under 30 rounds were fired in something like 4 hours of trigger time.
They still connected with targets at 400+ yards; the third shot was a hit for one that had never fired a rifle at something that far away before.
Good times.
Less-than-good times involved having to get between two sets of people that no longer get along; I wonder if stress caused by this argument is the source of my gastric distress this weekend.
Regardless, the river is rushing by my balcony and I can’t get back to sleep; maybe time to clean another rifle? It’s been great seeing two of my three kids this weekend, which makes all the hassle worth it.
Ugh
Less than 24 hours before I hit the road, I picked up some gut bug that’s making today miserable. Hopefully Mr Immune System manages to kill whatever it is, soon.
How old are you, McLovin?
Old enough to party. (Someone signed up for the shoot using this name, and Joe was nonplussed when I asked who the fuck signed up as McLovin)
I guess seven years will do that
In 2005, when I went to work for Microsoft, I bought a new LCD for cheap. Seven years on, I finally bought a small upgrade – mostly so I can go back to a dual-head setup. What strikes me most is how very, very yellow the older monitor is. This may be a feature of LED versus LCD, or it may be a feature of age; whatever the reason, I can hardly look at my older monitor now. At this point, I’m keeping it on my desk because it has an integrated USB hub and the replacement monitor doesn’t; I’m sure, in a few weeks, I’ll reclaim the space used by the monitor. In fact, I think that day is the second of May, or perhaps the evening thereof.
