On the radio
I heard an ad on the radio the other day for “rimfire enthusiasts”; the ad was for Nikon Prostaff line of scopes. I’d never heard an ad for riflescopes on the radio before, but there it was.
It’s hard to overcome training.
Watch from 0:03 to 0:10 seconds; even though his car has no front wheels (having recently ejected), as the driver starts to slide into the wall, he’s cranking the wheel over trying to save himself from the impact. It is possible he doesn’t know the wheels are gone, but I think he would have seen them shoot off along with the sudden scraping noise.

This one a 1917 Eddystone. This is why you wear eyepro. He’s bruised and mostly OK; the rifle rather less so.
