I can think of several hundred reasons not to do so. We’ll see if he gets lucky; chances are he’s learned a very expensive lesson about gunsmithing. Lyle told me yesterday that a lot of the problems they have with UltiMAK installs are boogered-up jobs by gunsmiths; I remember a long time ago a “smith” trying to shim the UltiMAK mount with lead to zero his red dot. There’s a reason for the knobs on your sight.
How the bleep do you booger-up mounting a Ultimak on the barrel? I mean, damn!

Not reading or following the instructions? I dunno. I have a google alert for UltiMAK set, so I see lots of random forum posts by people having troubles. I try to drop in and lend a hand if I can, but there’s only so much you can do.
