Exercises in memory
We recently had an offsite for work; a few questions came up about how to acknowledge contributors to open source projects. One question was “what was the most meaningful (open source) acknowledgement you’ve received?” Mine is easily this comment by Dave Hart.
Another interesting question was “what was your first screen name?” Mine was chosen for me by a friend of the family; Don Reynolds, at the time the chair of the Math & Computer Science department at Indiana State University. MABOSS. I know the computer was a CDC, but I don’t remember which one.
